Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, California Department of Parks and Recreation. The applicant proposes to remove approximately 450 cubic yards of fill from the right bank (looking downstream) of Redwood Creek, realign a 50-to-70 foot long section of the creek bed to its historic location, and place native rock in the stream channel to reduce erosion. The Project also includes removing a wooden wall approximately 6 to 10 feet long along the right bank, installing "Terra Mesh" baskets on the right bank and filling with native rock and soil to support the bank, and vegetating the baskets and stream bank with native species. No trees would be removed. Equipment used will include a track-mounted excavator, dozer, backhoe, dump truck, grader, and transport vehicles.
