Area is located in unincorporated County of Los Angeles. County land use designation include: U1 (Urban), HM (Hillside Management) and O (Open Space). The site is currently zoned as R-1, M-2, A-2-1 (ag). The site is undeveloped and uninhabited. There is an approved aggregate mine of 464 acres and an approved 542-unit residential development on 548 acres.

Document Description
The City is proposing to amend its General Plan and to prezone approximately 1,885 acres of undeveloped land and annex the area to the City of Santa Clarita. The annexation includes a City of Santa Clarita General Plan Amendment and prezone to RS (Residential Suburban), RVL (Residential Very Low), OS (Open Space) with a MOCA (Mineral/Oil Conservation Area) overlay on a portion of the OS designation. There is no development associated with the project and the project will not result in any additional development capability beyond what currently exists.
