Document Description
Project would include the excavation, screening and crushing, and offsite transportation of sand and gravel, and reclamation of the extraction area as rangeland, ponds and riparian habitat. The extraction area would be approx. 190 acres on three parcels totaling approx. 1,600 acres. The extraction areas are located above the top of bank and included the mining and processing of existing mine tailings. Approx. 418 acres would be reclaimed (including the processing areas as well as the extraction areas). Approx. 2 million tons of sand and gravel would be removed over 20-year period.
