Document Description
The proposed Terminal B Parking Garage is planned to provide the near-term parking needs for SMF. The proposed location for the garage is west of Terminal B, over the existing surface Hourly B Lot. The project will connect the new garage to the existing five-story elevator tower that leads into Terminal B via an elevated pedestrian walkway. The parking garage will have up to 5,500 parking spaces across five floors, with a footprint of approximately 7 acres. The concept plan shown in has access roads and a toll plaza. These are approximate locations and likely will be rearranged as the construction plans are solidified. Some of the parking surrounding the new Terminal B Parking Garage may be modified to accommodate the new access road and toll plaza. However, efforts will be made to not reduce the number of existing parking spaces. The proposed parking garage, location and disposition is consistent with the 2020 Sacramento International Airport Master Plan Update approved by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors on February 16, 2022.
