Document Description
DFG is intending to execute a lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (SAA #1600-2011-0102-R5) to the project applicant, Quarry Falls, LLC. The applicant proposes to remove 0.06 acre disturbed wetland habitat supported by runoff entering the site through a culvert under Phyllis Place in order to grade the approximately 230.5-acre site in accordance with the approved Conditional Use Permits and Reclamation Plans for the Quarry Falls resource extraction mining area. Project activities occurring within 0.12 acre of the flood control channel include removal of arundo, tamarisk, pampas grass, and other vegetation in order to allow the desired conveyance of water through the area and into the San Diego River. Ongoing vegetation management within this channel is included in the scope of this Agreement, for the life of this Agreement. Upon the expiration of this Agreement, the Permittee shall submit a new Notification for continued management of the channel.
