Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is exempt under Class 3 because the expansion would be under 10,000 square feet, would not involve the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances, would be located in an urbanized area zoned for such use, would be served by all necessary public services and facilities, and would be situated in an area that is not environmentally sensitive. The project is exempt under Class 4 because it would include minor alterations in the condition of the land and vegetation, which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
