The substation sites and subtransmission line alignments are zoned SPA (Special Planning Area). According to Sacramento County Ordinance No. SZC 98-0020, the land use district for Lot 6 is Airport-Related Industrial, and the land use district for Lot 44 is Light Manufacturing & Distribution. Subtransmission line Segments 1, 2, and 3 are classified as land use districts Airport-Related Industrial and Light Manufacturing & Distribution.
Document Description
Construct and operate two 69-kV neighborhood substations that would step down 69kV voltage to 12kV, consisting of (1) the proposed Lot 6 substation on the east side of Power Line Road just south of the existing Central Main Canal approximately 1,200 feet south of Elverta Road. The proposed Lot 44 substation would be located on the west side of the planned Lone Tree Road just south of the Central Main Canal, approximately 4,300 feet south of Elverta Road. The project also includes the following subtransmission line components: (1) Segment 1: a single circuit 69 kV overhead subtransmission line located on the south side of Elverta Road between Power Line Road and the planned Lone Tree Road is proposed to be upgraded to a double circuit 69 kV overhead line; (2) Segment 2: a single circuit 69 kV overhead subtransmission line located on the east side of Power Line Road between Elverta Road and Elkhorn Boulevard is proposed to be upgraded to a double circuit 69 kV overhead line; and (3) Segment 3, Option Elverta Road and Elkhorn Boulevard, or Segment 3 Option 2: woudl be installed along parcel boundaries ranging from 600 to 900 feet west of the planned Lone Tree Road between Elverta Road and Elkhorn Boulevard.
