A perimeter fence encloses portions of the property and there are few structural improvements except for an existing radio tower and its accompanying equipment bunkers which occupy an area in the east central portion of the site. The tower is no longer utilized for broadcasts and will be removed in 2008 upon expiration of the leases currently in place. Document Description
The proposed project includes text amendments to add a new Special Mixed Use (SMU) designation to the General Plan and establish standards for density and development intensity and to the Chico Municipal Code to add a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) zoning district. The project also includes amendments to the General Plan and zoning to apply the SMU designation and TND zone to the Meriam Park project site.
