Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0138-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Capital Valley Homes, LLC. The project is limited to construction of a clear-span bridge over Strawberry Creek, a utility line bore and jack under Strawberry Creek and installation of rock slope protection on the banks of Strawberry Creek. The clear span bridge will extend Lakemont Drive from the east onto the project site. The bridge will consist of concrete slabs over structural concrete footings that will be constructed along the channel banks above the ordinary high water line of the creek. The bridge will have two 20.5 foot travel lanes with a 5-foot sidewalk on each side. A 10-inch water main will be installed under Strawberry Creek at the bridge location. The main will be installed via bore and jack and will not require trenching within the streambed. An 8-inch sanitary sewer line will be installed under Strawberry Creek at the southern project boundary at Brown Road. A 16-inch casting pipe will be installed via bore and jack and an 8-inch PVS pipe will be installed within the casing pipe. The access point for the bore and jack will be located outside of the stream, within the upland areas. A total of approx. 20 cubic yards of 6-inch rock will be placed along the channel banks in two strategic locations in order to prevent potential erosion of the creek bank. The rock will impact approx. 515 sq. ft. of the channel bank, above the ordinary high water mark.
