The County of San Bernardino Solid Waste Management Division (SWMD) is proposing to expand the existing Barstow Sanitary Landfill by 325 acres, in five (5) phases. Expansion area facilities would include: a composite liner for new ares to be used for municipal solid waste disposal; landfill gas monitoring system; groundwater and surface water monitoring system; drainage and erosion control; and landfill gas collection and control system.
