Document Description
On February 28, 2012, the City Council adopted an amendment to an Affordable Housing Implementation Plan (AHIP) to allow the payment of in-lieu housing fees to satisfy, the affordable housing obligations of the previously approved Santa Barbara Condominiums project. This approval also included a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City of Newport Beach and the applicant specifying the payment of the public benefits fees, phasing of the development of the property, and waiving a requirement that the parties enter into a development agreement. The Santa Barbara Condominiums project was originally approved on January 10, 2006, and consists of the development of 79 residential condominiums on 4.25 acre site. A Mitigated Negative Declaration (SCH No. 2005071067) was originally adopted for the project.
