The 1.205-acre Project Area includes: the 0.585-acre area which constitutes 1,275 feet of the 20 foot wide northbound lane (and paved shoulder backing) of Salinas Road; the 0.505-acre ruderal area adjoining the northbound lane which will be converted to paved roadway to accomplish the widening; and the 0.115-acre ruderal area beyond that which will be temporarily disturbed during the Project. Take of CA tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) may occur in the form of capture in the event individuals become entrapped in open trenches or uncovered during excavations within the Project Area; if individuals become confined within the Project Area by the required Covered Species survey or salvage and relocation efforts over the three-year term of the ITP.
