Document Description
Certificate of Appropriateness approval for seismic retrofit plans for the Borreo Building, a city landmark. Plans consist of installation of interior structural support system to stabilize and enhance the viability of the stone building for future uses and preservation of the landmark for the public benefit. No historic architectural features will be removed as a result of the project.
Environmental Setting: North west corner of Third and Soscol Avenue adjacent to the east bank of the Napa River. This historic stone building stands alone in a highly visible location across the river from the Downtown waterfront and at the gateway to downtown at the Third Street Bridge.
