Document Description
Remodel the interior of the 2 car garage of the historic Visitor Center building at New Brighton State Beach to convert the space to be used for public interpretive displays and interpretive group activities. Work will: repair water termite damage, restore the roll-up garage door to its original appearance (door will be non-functioning), replace 2 existing windows with like kind materials, install carpet floor covering, modify the side door and install walkway for accessibility in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and upgrade the electrical system to meet current electrical codes for intended uses. Interior walls and ceiling will be insulated and finished with drywall and a water barrier will be installed to prevent water intrusion. Project supports continues use and maintenance and provides enhanced visitor services.
