Reasons for Exemption
The project will replace the existing bridge spanning Swamp Creek on the Forest Service 28N20 road with a Forest Service approved engineered bridge supported on concrete footings, use an existing temporary crossing of Gurnsey Creek with a culvert and clean rock fill, replace damaged or undersized culverts on small tributaries, and improve and existing ford of an unnamed tributary to Deer Creek. All crossings will retain the same purpose and capacity when the project is completed. The project will have no significant effect on the environment.
