Document Description
Yuba County Water Agency (Agency) determined that its coordination of Cordua Irrigation District’s (Cordua) 2020 water transfer, the related agreements and the transfer itself are within the scope of the Lower Yuba River Accord (Accord) and its EIR. For that transfer, Cordua or its landowners will pump approximately 9,000 acre-feet of groundwater in lieu of using a like amount of Yuba River water. The Agency potentially will store the resulting transferable surface water in the Agency’s New Bullards Bar Reservoir, and will coordinate that water’s release, to ensure compliance with the Accord’s terms and facilitate the transfer water’s delivery at the river’s Marysville Gage. Cordua will comply with groundwater-related terms of the Accord EIR’s mitigation and monitoring program.
