Document Description
The applicant is requesting a coastal development permit for the demolition of one existing commercial structure and the construction of an approximately 40,000 square foot mixed use retail sales/service and restaurant development on approximately three acres, comprised of two CS zoned parcels. Restaurants are conditionally permitted uses within the coastal CS zone district; on March 13, 2006, the Planning Commission granted the application a conditional use permit for the proposed restaurant use (Case No. C-04-007, no appeal of the Planning Commission's action was filed). The project also includes a lot line adjustment between the two commercial parcels that will place the larger retail sales/service development located towards the rear of the property onto one parcel, and the smaller restaurant/retail area at the corner of Vigo and Broadway on a separate parcel.
