San Jacinto Valley Interceptor Sewer Project

Eastern Municipal Water District provides sewage collection and treatment services to an area covering approximately 555 square miles in size. The San Jacinto Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility (SJVRWRF) provides wastewater collection and treatment to the City of San Jacinto. The existing sewer pipelines in Palm and Cottonwood Avenues, tributaries to the Sanderson Lift Station that subsequently transports the sewage to the SJVRWRF, are currently over their design capacities. Consequently, EMWD proposes to construct approximately 21,000 lineal feet of regional interceptor sewer pipeline varying in size from 24 to 39-inches in diameter to convey wastewater flows from the intersection of Esplanade and San Jacinto Avenues to the Sanderson Lift Station located on the west side of Sanderson Avenue just north of Cottonwood Avenue in the City of San Jacinto. The proposed pipeline alignment would follow Esplanade Avenue in a westerly direction from its intersection with San Jacinto Street to Santa Fe Avenue for a distance of approximately 1,500 feet. It would then follow Santa Fe Avenue northerly for a distance of approximately 2,600 feet to its intersection with Seventh Street, it would then follow Seventh Street in a westerly direction for approximately 13,500 feet to its intersection with Sanderson Avenue. It would then follow Sanderson Avenue in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 3,400 feet to EMWD's Sanderson Avenue Lift Station. Upon completion, the proposed wastewater interceptor line will serve existing and planned development along the alignment of the project.
