Document Description
The subject property consists of three separate parcels of approximately 7.3 acres containing a solid waste disposal company operations facility and a recycling operation authorized by a Planned Development Permit (PDP99-02). The overall site houses a waste and recycling collection fleet, a maintenance facility, two recycling plants, as well as corporate and administrative offices. The site contains: Parcel 1 (6670 Federal Boulevard) - Two maintenance buildings, administrative building, parking, fuel island. Parcel 2(6700 Federal Boulevard) - Existing Materials Recycling Facility and buy-back center, weigh scale parking. Parcel 3 (6750 Federal Boulevard) - Proposed CDI facility, parking, weigh scale. The project consists of a change in the type of materials processed in the existing 38,500 square foot building located on Parcel 3. The project consists of the conversion of this existing building to a mixed construction, demolition and inert (CDI) processing facility. This facility was used to recycle plastic, glass, and fiber commingled material and the processing of these materials has been completely relocated to the building on Parcel 2. The proposed materials and amount of materials to be processed will consist of rock, soil, asphalt, concrete, wood, metal, and cardboard at a maximum 1,000 tons per day.
