Document Description
The purpose of the project is to provide a comprehensive vision for the redevelopment and revitalization of the subject area consistent with the principles of transit-oriented and traditional neighborhood design, including mixed-use development. The overall objectives of the Specific Plan are to: (1) provide for 2,800-3,200 dwelling units and approximately 700,000 square feet of commercial space; (2) provide an economically feasible development pattern and mix; (3) redevelop the North Montclair area to provide a land use pattern and mix that focuses on transit, housing variety, mixed use, pedestrian activity, public open space, and connectivity; and (4) integrate parking seamlessly so that people are encouraged to park once and walk to their destination.
