This project proposes to reactivate the materials surface mining and processing operation at the Opah Material Site located along I-15 between the City of Barstow and the community of Baker. Materials extracted from an approximately 7.7 hectare (19.1 acre) mining area would be used in Federal-Aid highway projects along I-15 and State Route 127.
