Document Description
Acquisition of nine parcels, totaling approximately 90 acres, of the former Fort Ord military base in order to preserve and make available for public use an area along the Monterey Bay shoreline of natural beauty and containing remnants of military history. The acquisition will form Fort Ord Dunes State Park. Acquisition of the property in itself has no potential for significant impacts to the environment. Public use of the property and related facility development are addressed in and subject to compliance with the Fort Ord Dunes State Park General Plan and EIR.
