Document Description
The proposed project involves an appropriative water rights application currently pending before the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Water Rights. The application proposes diversion of 0.30 cubic foot per second throughout the year, with an annual limit of 150 acre-feet, for municipal purposes. Water will be diverted from Fern Creek tributary to Reversed Creek thence Rush Creek thence Mono Lake in Mono County, California. The existing diversion facility consists of a sluice intake with a 4-foot diameter gated corrugated metal pipe (CMP) and a 5-foot diameter gated CMP overflow; a diversion building whereby water is diverted by gravity flow through a 6-inch ductile iron pipeline; a staff gauge located at the 4-foot outlet weir; and a Stevens Flow Meter. The project would involve no new construction of facilities; the diversion would be accomplished entirely through the existing facilities.
