The proposed project is a request to amend the General Plan Land Use Map to change the land use designation of the parcel from GC (General Commercial) to MHD (Medium High Density Residential, maximum 18 dwelling units/acre). The applicant is also requesting a corresponding change of zone from C-2 (General Commercial) to R-3 (High Density Residential Zoning) in order to bring the site's zoning into conformance with the proposed action will allow future construction of those uses permitted in the Medium High Density Residential designation of the General Plan and R-3 High Density Residential of the Zoning Code.
