Document Description
The project applicant proposes to develop the Mission Village project, which would be constructed on 1,261.8 acres of property located within the northeastern corner of the adopted Newhall Ranch Specific Plan in western unincorporated Los Angeles County, south of the Santa Clara River and State Route 126 (SR-126), and west of Interstate 5 (I-5). The project includes 4,412 residence (382 single-family homes, and 4,030 multi-family units, including attached and detached condominiums, age qualified and apartment units), 1,555,100 square feet of commercial/mixed-uses, a 9.5 acre elementary school, fire station, public library, bus transfer station, parks, public and private recreational facilities, trails, and road improvements would be permitted.
The proposed project also includes facilities and infrastructure proposed to support the project, including roads (including the Commerce Center Drive bridge), trails, drainage improvements, flood protection (including buried bank stabilization within and adjacent to the Santa Clara River), potable and recycled water systems (including water tanks), sanitary sewer system and dry utility systems.
