Document Description
The project approved by the Department of Fish and Game involves the issuance of an incidental take permit (ITP) under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). Issuance of the ITP authorizes take of Mohave ground squirrel, a state listed threatened species, in connection with the construction of a little league baseball field with bleachers and night lighting, an open lawn with four picnic tables, a restroom, and a parking lot for 40 vehicles. In total, implementation of the project will result in impacts to 3.0 acres of potential habitat for the Mohave ground squirrel.
