Document Description
The Department's Headquarters Main Entrance (1120 N Street) does not currently provide an entrance that is accessible for individuals with disabilities. The proposed project would provide compliance with the federal American Disability Act (ADA) by locating a mechanical lift inside the building's main entrance. Non-compliant concrete sidewalks at the front of the building will be replaced with appropriate concrete sidewalks. Other non-compliant exterior work would include reconstructing the bike rack, trash container and newspaper rack area to comply with accessibility code requirements.
