Caltrans, Division of Rail, proposed to construct a second main line track with support facilities over a distance of about 18.2 miles from the City of Oakley to Port Chicago. The proposed facilities include a second main line track, new sidings, extension and upgrade of existing sidings, upgrade of track structures, replacement or installation of existing bridges, replacement or installation of culverts; and improvements at existing highway/railroad track intersections.
