Document Description
Adoption of the Regional Bicycle Transportation Plan as a component of the Madera County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) 2004 Update. The Plan is consistent with the City of Madera General Plan and reflects the provisions of the adjoining jurisdictions as contained in the Fresno, Mariposa, and Merced Regional Transportation Plans. The Regional Plan outlines the development of a continuous network of bicycle facilities that when completed will enable bicycling to become a viable mode of transportation in the City of Madera and is consistent with the Valley wide programs to limit single occupant motor vehicle travel. The Plan is a mandatory update of the previous plan relative to land use, growth and population, completed projects, and priorities for future projects. This update will enable the City to continue qualifying for grant applications to construct new trails.
