The project is the 2005 University of California Long Range Development Plan, a land use plan to accommodate a projected enrollment of 25,000 students by the year 2015. This is a growth of approximately 17,900 students and associated campus population growth and an increase of 7.1 million square feet of facilities including academic, support and housing.
