The proposed project involves the construction of Phase A, B and C of the OGWR Project and Phase 1 of the R3 project as identified within the Water Supply Reliability and Groundwater Replenishment Program Final EIR (2006) SCH No. 2005041103. The Project will result in impacts to 15.03 acres of Mohave ground squirrel habitat: the Project will permanently remove 15.03 acres of Mohave ground squirrel habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Mohave ground squirrel, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act.
