Document Description
Installation of two dissolved air flotation (DAF) units after the existing aeration and secondary settling ponds and before existing tertiary filters. DAF units are needed to remove pond algae that has been impacting filter performance. Improvements are being made to provide "plant reliability features" for the production of Title 22 recycled water as required by California Dept. of Health Services guidelines.

The project consists of relatively minor alteration of an existing wastewater treatment facility involving negligible or no expansion of its existing use/capacity. Although new mechanical equipment and a 550-sf building will be added at the existing facility, the overall level of alteration and level of new construction is consistent with examples provided under Class 1 and Class 3 exemptions.
