Document Description
The Coachella Valley Unified School District proposes to undertake the acquisition of approx. 79.24 acres of land. The District intends to acquire the Pierce Street Property for potential use as a future school site, though it is unknown at this time whether such a school site would include K-12 facilities, or simply middle and high school facilities. The project may also include annexation of the Pierce Street Property and adjacent property to the City of Coachella, consistent with the policies of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Riverside County. Any future construction, if occurring at all, will be conditioned upon the District's future compliance with the CEQA with respect to such use and construction.
