The project involves the redevelopment of an existing property leased to Marina Cortez, Inc. at 1880 Harbor Island Drive in San Diego within the West Harbor Island Subarea of Planning District 2 in the Port Master Plan. Woodfin Suite Hotels, LLC, will undertake the proposed redevelopment. The proposed project includes demolition of all existing structures on the land side of the property. The proposed components of the project include (a) construction of an eight-story, 140-suite hotel with an option to market and operate 40 of the rooms as timeshares; (b) construction of a new and separate two-story marina services building; (c) construction of a 1,120-linear foot seawall along the entire shoreline on top of which a new public promenade would be provided; (d) development of 401 on-site parking spaces.
