The project involves renovation and enhancement of the existing State Park Marina and includes:
(1) Dredging the boat basin and entrance channel to facilitate continued use of the Marina that has been in operation for over 50 years;
(2) Removing existing docks and replacing them with upgraded docks and gangways that meet current American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements;
(3) Placing a steel sheet pile wall along the northern shoreline to eliminate erosion;
(4) Placing a submerged steel sheet pile wall along the southern shoreline to reduce erosion and maintain the existing mudflat habitat;
(5) Improving dockside and onshore utilities, drainage, and lighting, and adding restroom and shower facilities, and
(6) Repaving and reconfiguring the parking lot and entrance, and to improve emergency ingress/egress that will bring the area up to present public health and safety standards, and State and local code requirements.
