NOTE: Transfer of Indian Tribal Trust Land to Reservation Status.
The Assistant Secretary requires all tribes to apprise local government officials of federal actions affecting lands within the borders of the county in which the land to be proclaimed is located. The Round Valley Indian Tribe has filed with the Bureau of Indian Affairs an application to proclaim certain tribal land known as the "Big Bend Ranch" (11,324. 16 acres, more or less), in the County of Mendocino, in "reservation" status and that it will be made a part of the present Round Valley Indian Reservation. These 11,324.16 acres were previously transferred from fee-to-trust status for the Round Valley Indian Tribes by the Area Director, Bureau of Indian Affairs, on December 17, 1986.
