Document Description
The proposed project consists of an acquisition of approximately 360 acres (APN 007-970-02) of vacant land to be added to the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. The project will transfer the ownership of land to the California Department of Parks and Recreation to ensure preservation of open space, cultural resources, and the natural environment. Native American cultural resource sites e.g., house rings, fish traps, prehistoric trails, lithic scatters, etc., have been identified on the property.
