Document Description
The Thin Films and Materials Research Labs Project will redevelop a portion of an existing building that was formerly used for semiconductor manufacturing, to create research labs for thin films low-temperature materials research. The proposed development area totals about 5,448 sf, including 4,363 sf of occupied laboratory space, and 1,085 sf of wet lab space and 14,700 sf of laboratory support space included in the previously approved 2300 Delaware Avenue Project. The 2300 Delaware Avenue Project was analyzed in the UC Santa Cruz 2005 Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) EIR. The 2005 LRDP EIR was certified in September 2006 and the 2300 Delaware Avenue Project was approved in February 2007. Addendum #2 to the EIR was prepared for the Thin Films and Materials Research Labs Project.
