Document Description
The property contained fruit orchards from the early 1920's to 1980's. As part of the orchard operation, pesticides, including both inorganic (lead arsenate) and chlorinated organic pesticides (e.g., DDT) were applied to the orchard area. A rusty transformer was located on the site. Arsenic, DDT, Lead and PCB from the transformer was identified as the main soil contaminates. The project proposes to excavate approximately 1800 cubic yards of soil and transport it to a permitted facility.
