Document Description
A request by the County of San Luis Obispo to construct a fire station. The project will result in the disturbance of approximately 21,360 SF and will consist of an apparatus and equipment bay building of 1,920 SF, a 12,240 modular building to serve as living quarters for fire station staff, 3,100 SF of concrete paving for driveways and walkways, a 2,000 SF on-site septic system, and 1,000 SF of landscaping on a 1 acre donated public lot. Also included in this project is the demolition and removal of an existing modular residence and garage, and the acceptance of the donated lot. Future activities include installing an additional 1,360 SF of concrete walkways, utility pads, and other miscellaneous structures and installment of a 11,500 SF parking area. The proposed project is within the Agriculture land use category. The project site is located at 13084 Soda Lake Road, on the south side of Soda Lake Road, approximately 2 miles south of Highway 58 in the village of California Valley.
