Document Description
The proposed project consists of the construction of a new three-story courthouse, potential new City Hall building, potential library expansion, and parking structure, and the demolition of the existing public defender and district attorney buildings. The courthouse would be built with 14 new courtrooms, office locations, courtyard/plazas and pedestrian pathways, payment window, court support and jury facilities, a secure sally port used to transfer custodies, and secured parking area for judges. Development of the new courthouse would add a total of approximately 192, 500 building gross square feet (BGSF) to the existing structure for a total of approximately 222, 500 BGSF. The potential new City Hall would be located near the southern project boundary and is proposed to contain approximately 40,000 gross square feet within a two-story structure. The potential library expansion would result in an additional approximately 19,600 square feet and would occur adjacent to the existing site driveway off Crown Valley Parkway. The project proposes to include approximately 1,410 parking spaces, consisting of both surface parking and the construction of a new parking structure.
