Document Description
The proposed project is for the expansion of an existing 400 tons per day Construction and Demolition Waste processing and recycling operation. The site is zoned M2-1G. The proposed expansion is to develop the facility into a Large Volume Transfer/Processing Facility that will integrate the existing construction and demolition waste processing and recycling operation into an overall multi-purpose materials recovery facility (MRF)/transfer station facility that will also have the expanded capability of processing and recovering recyclables from mixed use municipal solid waste, from commingled source separated recyclables, from materials separated for reuse, and from "high fiber/dry routes". The proposed site is currently a fully developed 4.9 acre site with all required utilities completely paved with concrete, a truck scale, truck washing bay, clarifier, and completely fenced with 2 gates, and an on-site office. The current operations are conducted in open air (uncovered and not enclosed within a building).
