The Landers Sanitary Landfill operates under Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWFP) No. 36-AA-0057 issued on August 3, 1999, by the County of San Bernardino Department of Public Health, Division of Environmental Health Services, acting as the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) for the California Integrated Waste Management Board. The SWFP must be updated at least every five years or more often as necessary; therefore, in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 27, Section 21675(a), the County Solid Waste Management Division is submitting a Joint Technical Document (JTD) to update the existing Solid Waste Facility Permit.
