The City of Fresno proposes to enter a long-term renewal contract with the U.S. for project water service from the Friant Division of the Central Valley Project for up to 60,000-acre feet per year of Friant Class 1 water for municipal and industrial purposes to 40 years. The project will replace an existing contract for 60,000 acre-feet per year of Class 1 water from January 12, 1961 to March 1, 2006.
