Document Description
The project involves the adoption of Amendment No. 4 to the existing Redevelopment Plan for the East San Gabriel Commercial Development Project. The proposed Amendment will extend the existing time limit for the San Gabriel Redevelopment Agency's eminent domain authority in the project area. The proposed Amendment will not alter the boundaries of the project area, and no other changes to the Redevelopment Plan are being considered at this time. Although no development or construction is currently proposed, the continued implementation of the Redevelopment Plan is expected to facilitate commercial, industrial/manufacturing, public, and residential development in the project area in conformance with the San Gabriel General Plan, to address various environmental issues, and to mitigate existing public infrastructure system deficiencies. The primary purpose of the Redevelopment Plan will continue to be the elimination of physical and economic conditions that hinder the full development of the project area.
