Document Description
The Department of Transportation proposes to dispose of surplus land located in the City of Sacramento, parcel #006-0137-001-0000, at the southwest corner of the intersection of 3rd Street and Capitol Mall. Disposal of the parcel would include the closure and removal of a connector street that lies along the western boundary of the property. The closure of the connector street will include striping, signing and signal modifications which will be performed by the California Department of Transportation at the time the ramp is closed.

The sale of surplus land is exempt pursuant to Section 15312 of the CEQA Guidelines. A traffic study was prepared for the street closure and concluded that with re-striping, signing modifications, the closure would not significantly impact traffic circulation. Further, it was determined that the sale would not be excepted from being Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 21084 of the PRC.
