Document Description
The Food and Agriculture Code (FAC) requires the Department of Food and Agriculture to "establish, maintain, and enforce quarantine, eradication, and other regulations . . . necessary to circumscribe and exterminate or prevent the spread of any pest" if it is feasible. The goal of the proposed exotic pest eradication program is to eliminate target pests without significantly impacting the indigenous environment.
