Document Description
The proposed project is an application for a Conditional Use Permit to continue and expand an existing construction equipment rental yard into an adjacent property. The expansion will allow for the outdoor storage of all types of equipment such as small to medium size tractors, cement mixers, power tools, scaffolding, generators, fork lifts, skip loaders, concrete finishing equipment, heaters, and contractors supplies. The proposed project will remove an existing 6' tall chain link fence that encloses the additional lot and will replace it with an 8' tall concrete block wall on three sides except on its western boundary. The expansion lot will be paved with asphalt, and no new structures will be built. Twelve new automobile parking spaces will be installed two lots north of the expansion site. Applicant is also seeking a zone change for the expansion site from R-3 to M-I-DP. Landscaping is proposed along 8th Street East. Eight employees will operate the rental yard from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday.
