DWR will deliver up to 8,700 acre-feet of DRWD's approved SWP water supplies (Project water), over the five year period from 2013-2017, to IRWD's Strand Ranch Integrated Banking Project located within the KCWA, or to MWDSC's service area in southern California. In exchange, MWDSC will return a portion of its future Project water equal to fifty percent (50%) of DRWD's Project water delivered to MWDSC by year 2022.
