Document Description
The specific project being approved by DWR is an exchange of State Water Project water between Berrenda Mesa Water District (BMWD) and DRWD. Up to 12,000 acre-feet of DRWD's 2005 SWP Table A water would be delivered to BMWD, a Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) member unit, in exchange for future return of 66.7% of the water to DRWD within the succeeding 13 year period. There is no construction, land use change, or modification to existing facilities and no new lands will be brought into production as a result of the requested exchange.
